Eleventh Annual Specialty Show, Junior Showmanship and Sweepstakes

              This show will be held indoors - unbenched.

FSCA room rate is $65 for 1-4 persons/room and a one time pet fee of $25 for any number of dogs.  Be sure to mention FSCA to get your room rate.

Banquet Info:

Annual Dinner will start at 7 p.m. preceded by cocktails at 6:30 p.m. on October 31st at the Host Hotel. 

  • Live Auction at the Banquet.  Send all your auction items to Nancy Lloyd, P.O. Box 2491, La Pine, OR  97739.  Attach a suggested starting bid price!  If it's a purchased item, the purchase price might be the best starting price.  Remember, this is a club fund-raising event!  Don't forget to mail your items as early as possible to Nancy.  For more info, e-mail Nancy at icecaps@bendnet.net.

5th Annual Fabulous Finkie Foto Contest

It's summer again.  You're out-or-doors on the trail or on the road or, perhaps, just on the patio.  Wherever you find yourself, it's a great time to get out the camera and take some photos of your favorite Finnish Spitz.  Last winter when you were still languishing before the fireplace, you may have already snapped a few beauties of that photogenic dog and wondered how you could show them off.

Here is your golden opportunity!

Just put your name and address on the back of each photo (if you forget, I'll do it for you), and enclose $1 for each picture you wish to enter in the Fabulous Finkie Foto Contest.  Don't forget to specify which category you are entering.   All pics will be displayed in Tulsa at the National Specialty the night of the FSCA banquet.  Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded at that time.

Don't forget that entries must be received by October 1st as the judging will be completed before the Specialty.  Photos received after that time or brought to Tulsa will be displayed but not judged.

Contest Rules

All photos must be of Finnish Spitz (with the exception of the last category).

Categories:

  • Puppies - birth to six months

  • Puppies - six months to one year

  • Funniest puppy at play (same age breakout as above)

  • Adult - over one year

  • Funniest adult at play

  • Veterans - 7 years and older

  • Funniest National photo - "human" club members at dinner, shows, relaxing, etc.


Maximum entry--none.
Fee--$1.00 per entry.
So, just send your entries with your name, address, category, and the name of the Finnish Spitz depicted written on the back.  Send entries anytime before October 1st to:

Costume Contest and Toy Swap

If you are planning to attend this year's National in Tulsa come join, one and all, for a fun filled Costume Contest and Toy Swap.  The contest will be held at the Specialty, time and place to be determined.  Tell your humans to look for details to be posted at the hospitality room when you arrive.  The event is being held to do a little fund raising with the proceeds being split between the Club's general fund and Rescue.

Here's the plan:

  • Judging will be for most popular teams.

  • We know that getting your humans to dress-up is probably not an easy task, so human costumes are optional, but be sure to get your humans to help you dress in your favorite gear!!

  • Entries will be $5.00 per team.  Entries will be taken at the door,

  • Voting tickets will be sold at the door for $1.00 a piece with no ticket limit so you can bring all your friends to vote for your team as many times as they want.  Humans vote by putting tickets into envelopes of their favorite entries.

  • Winning teams will get priority in the Toy Swap.

  • For each dog entered your human will bring a toy or treats for the Toy Swap.  Details of the Toy Swap will be provided later.  Just remember...one dog...one toy...two dogs...two toys...etc!!

  • Come Have Fun!!!  No Retrieving Required!!!
