It is our policy to receive payment for services at the time of service.  We realize that there are frequently situations when you cannot be present at the time when we attend to your horse.  We would request that you either pay for this service by phone with a Visa or MasterCard, or by check from the bill left at the stable.  We encourage you to leave your MasterCard/Visa on file at the office.

Reproductive Services -- Year 2000  Fees:

Stallion Semen Collection for Fertility Exam and /or Shipment: $200.

Ultrasound Examination for Pregnancy: $99 (This is billed once per mare per breeding season; subsequent ultrasound exams are billed as rectal palpations, $27).

Uterine Culture: $62.

Artificial Insemination: $46.50.

Rectal Palpation: $27.

We will continue to utilize Tangletree Farm, Route 16, Colchester, CT (860-537-5924) for reproductive services. For mares that will be stabled there for breeding with shipped semen, Tangletree Farm will bill for the following:
Chute Fee: $300. This fee covers teasing the mare, record-keeping, contacting the stallion manager for semen shipments, return of Equitainers® and assistance of the veterinarian.
Board: $12 per day; $15/day with a foal by side.
