Open Hearth Cooking Classes

Step back in time to the early 1800s for hands on experience cooking over the open hearth in the John Bishop House Museum, Lisbon Connecticut.
With the guidance and instruction from the Societys teaching staff, students will prepare dinner from traditional recipes using period cooking utensils and methods and then share the fruit of your labors at a candlelit table in front of the fireplace.
We offer both evening and afternoon classes. Lisbon Historical Society, Hearth Cooking Class at the John Bishop House, Route 169, Lisbon.
